Inspired by this legacy, The Last Drop partnered with Cristiano van Zeller to unveil something truly unique: The Last Drop "Centenario" duo of Tawny Ports. This 11th release comprises two exceptional Tawny Ports, one from 1870 and the other from 1970.

The older Tawny Port, crafted from grapes on pre-Phylloxera vines, offers a glimpse into the past, while the younger counterpart, sourced from vines grafted onto American rootstock post-Phylloxera, represents a new chapter in Port history. Together, these extraordinary bottles provide a rare opportunity to experience two distinct chapters in the rich tapestry of Port wine.

It has an arresting bouquet with scents of black plum, rosehip syrup, Manuka honey, fig and grilled walnut… Beautifully balanced, fresh and slightly viscous in texture, this is a complex Tawny Port whose age has not diminished just how delicious it tastes. It just goes out to offer gorgeous mulberry, clove, eau de vie and Chinese five-spice notes throughout its harmonious and poised finish.
