Noble Vines - 242 SAUVIGNON BLANC
The right grape in the right soil is the mantra of the viticulturists and winemakers of Noble Vines. 242 gets its name from the block number at the Monteray, California vineyard in which the Sauvignon grapes are grown. The soil and climate of the area so similar to that in New Zealand from where the vine stock originates and which made Sauternes and New Zealand wine so famous.
242 Sauvignon Blanc Vintage is made from both the the Sauvignon Blanc 1 and Sauvignon Musque varietals picked at just the right moment, then pressed and fermented with special yeasts to enhance the flavour and aromatic profile of the wine. The result is a vintage in possession of a lively, beautifully balanced, aromatic and zesty character.
Pale straw in coloration the scent of 242 Sauvignon Blanc is of vibrant citrus, peach and honeydew melon which burst forth from the glass. It has a medium body, is well rounded in the mid-palate and possesses crisp acidity levels. Bright and refreshing 242 Sauvignon delivers a sublime medley of flavors; ripe juicy melon, sweet nectarine and lime citrus.
