Scapegrace Classic Gin has won extensive international awards for both taste and packaging: Silver Medals at the San Francisco Spirits Competition and the London International Wine and Spirit Competition, Double Gold Medals from the largest whisky competition in the world (the International Wines & Spirits Challenge) - making it one of just three gins in the UK to have won double gold. This reward for our liquid is all about the smoothness and full flavour it presents.

Scapegrace Gin comes to us all the way from New Zealand, produced in a 19th century John Dore copper pot still. Its recipe calls for a selection of of 12 botanicals, which includes juniper, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice. It comes presented in a rather striking bottle inspired by an antique genever bottle - a little nod to the spirit's long and storied history. Also, it looks awesome. Both good reasons. "Scapegrace" is another name for a rogue or scoundrel, in case you were wondering.

Aroma:
Classic juniper, subtle floral hints of lavender & orange blossom. Deeper earthy tones of cinnamon bark & nutmeg arrive next, but be prepared for a fresh burst of multiple citrus to linger longer.

Palate:
Big, fresh nose. A place where juniper, orange peel, and deep spice dominate. Citrus and juniper enjoy prominence but smooth and crisp on the palate. Long, and flavour filled finish.

Finish:
Warming with continued juniper. Surprisingly long finish, coming back with waves of orange & mixed floral notes. Classically citrus. Super smooth.
