El Dorado, the fabled city of riches is embodied in this gold award winning rum, which is a special blend of hand selected demerara rums, the youngest of which is no less than 12 years old. Skillfully combining rums from the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, then adding rum from the Port Mourant double wooden still, Eldorado 12 Year is blended to exquisite perfection, then carefully aged in casks that once held premium bourbon.

With a golden character this multi-award winner delivers a nose that is abundant. Lush tropical fruits and spices and entwined around dark brown sugar and sweet honey. Full bodied, it coats the mouth. It is smooth and mellow, its rich flavors envelope the senses. Papaya, Guava and passion fruit. Exotic spices like star anise and vanilla twist around the woody oak tannins. All this comes together magnificently making El Dorado 12 Year a luxurious and hedonistic tasting experience. TASTING NOTES

Lush tropical fruit and spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar. The profile is round, mellow and full bodied with rich flavours of fruits and spice. The finish is delightful, elegant and dry.

RUM OLD FASHIONED INGREDIENTS 50ml 12 Year Old Half slice of orange One brown sugar cube soaked in bitters METHOD Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir for 30-40 seconds. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
