Beginning its journey in American oak casks, the whisky develops an intense spicy sweetness over the initial maturation period. It is then transferred to Portuguese port wine casks for a finishing period of two years, where it gains rich, dark chocolate notes and a full-bodied elegance. This unique balance of contrasting casks results in a wonderfully complex dram that is sure to delight the most discerning of palates.
