Russell's Reserve 6 Year Old

Small Batch Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey

In Lawrenceburg, Kentucky The Wild Turkey distillery makes good use of its surroundings in making their incredible ultra fine bourbons.

    • From the purest water, thanks to the natural limestone shelf upon which it sits....To the stringent quality of the American grain used.
    • From the generations old secret yeast recipe used for fermentation......To the double distillation process vaporising the liquid at extreme temperatures sealing in the taste for the fullest flavor and ensuring that the bourbon is ultra smooth.
    • From the high quality new white oak #4 alligator charred barrels which enrich the spirit with its coppery auburn color and its ever deeper and more complex characteristics and flavors.....To the "center cut" rick house positioning which is hand-chosen by Master Distiller's Jimmy and Eddie Russell who, between them, possess over 90 years of combined know-how
    • From the cold winters.....To the warm summers which present perfect conditions for Wild Turkey Russell’s Reserve Rye during its 6 year maturation.

Neat , on the rocks, or open it with a splash of water; the nose is rich caramel and rye, creamy butterscotch, red summer berries, soft vanilla and oak.

Perfectly balanced and medium bodied, the delicious flavors of sweet caramel, rye, vanilla and wood dominate the palate. Roll it over the tongue, soft and smooth. One can discern layers of pepper, baking spices, almonds and leather.

The finish has a biscuity, woody, rye spice character, mingled with slowly fading caramel and herbals.
